Prabowo Greets Indonesian Students in Türkiye, Engages in Open Dialogue
Türkiye – President Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, greeted Indonesian students in Türkiye following a dinner gathering on Friday (April 11).
Prabowo warmly approached the students, asking about their hometowns and well-being before taking selfies and group photos with them. Erdoğan remained by Prabowo’s side throughout the interaction, highlighting the cordial atmosphere.
“We felt very welcomed meeting Mr. Prabowo in person. I even had the chance to shake his hand, have a long conversation, and share our aspirations,” said Muhammad Munirudin, a student who also serves as the chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama chapter in Türkiye.
Munir added that Prabowo personally inquired about the students’ living conditions, their studies, and the challenges they face while pursuing education in Türkiye.
“We truly feel seen and appreciated by the President. I’m confident that all of us here are happy and ready to support his leadership. As part of the Indonesian diaspora, we’re committed to contributing positively—both as students and as representatives of our nation,” Munir said.
During this official visit to Türkiye, Prabowo appeared to share a warm and harmonious relationship with Erdoğan. After meeting with the Indonesian students, Prabowo was presented with a special souvenir: a photo album compiling memorable moments shared between the two leaders.
