Klaten, July 21, 2025 — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, departed from Solo to Klaten, Central Java, on Monday afternoon (July 21) to inaugurate the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program, one of his administration’s flagship initiatives.
His journey was warmly welcomed by enthusiastic residents, teachers, and schoolchildren who lined the roadside to greet the President. Excitement filled the air as people waved and called out his name as his motorcade passed.
“Pak Prabowo! Pak Prabowo!” the crowd cheered.
Wearing a brown suit and black peci (cap), President Prabowo emerged from the sunroof of his vehicle to greet the public. He smiled and waved continuously, even handing out shirts to people along the route.
The crowd’s joy continued all the way to Klaten, where even more residents had gathered along the roadside, eager to see the President in person.
The official launch ceremony of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative was held today in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District.
The Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program is a cornerstone of President Prabowo’s economic agenda. With more than 80,000 cooperatives to be established across Indonesia, the program is set to be fully operational by October 28, 2025.
These cooperatives aim to strengthen rural economies, improve farmers’ terms of trade, and create new jobs, advancing equitable and inclusive development from the village level upward.
