President Prabowo Subianto gave a briefing at the ‘National Conference of Indonesian Kadin Unity Consolidation’ held at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, on Thursday, 16 January 2025. The briefing was held after the inauguration of Anindya Novyan Bakrie as Chairman of Kadin Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term and M. Arsjad Rasjid P.M. as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Kadin Indonesia for the same period.

In his briefing, President Prabowo appreciated Kadin for the successful implementation of the deliberation that emphasised the importance of unity amidst challenging global dynamics. The Head of State emphasised that unity is an urgent need for Indonesia to face world geopolitical, geoeconomic, and geostrategic competition.

‘I have repeatedly said that amidst the geopolitical, geoeconomic, and geostrategic dynamics of the world, competition is getting tougher between economic blocs, between major powers in this tough competition, so caution is needed by all elements of the nations, especially nations like Indonesia,’ President Prabowo said.

President Prabowo also called for the importance of collaboration and unity among Indonesian entrepreneurs in an effort to boost the nation’s prosperity. ‘Competition is good, but not to kill each other. Let us compete together towards the prosperity of the people. The people need prosperity, and it is led by entrepreneurs,’ President Prabowo said.

President Prabowo also emphasised the importance of strengthening human resources with excellence and integrity as the main foundation of the nation’s progress. Furthermore, the President invited entrepreneurs to support the government’s big agenda, including accelerating investment and encouraging innovation in various sectors.

‘We need a dynamic Kadin, entrepreneurs who are brave, innovative, cooperative, Indonesia incoperated,’ the President said.

President Prabowo also emphasised that all policies of his administration are dedicated to the interests of the nation and the people of Indonesia. The President and his staff are committed to implementing all policies as well as possible.

‘There is no other interest, no other orientation, and because it is for the interests of the nation, the interests of the state, the interests of the people, we do not hesitate, we will implement it with all the strength and power available to us,’ the President concluded.

Accompanying President Prabowo at the event were Minister of Investment and Downstream as well as Chairman of the Honorary Board of Kadin Indonesia Rosan Roeslani and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. In addition, a number of Red and White Cabinet Ministers, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term Anindya Novyan Bakrie, and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Kadin Indonesia for the 2024-2029 term M.
