London — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Stansted Airport, London, at 8:42 a.m. local time on Wednesday (11/20), or around 3:00 p.m. Jakarta time.
Prabowo’s visit to London is part of his inaugural overseas tour as president. Before arriving in London, he attended the G20 Summit in Brazil.
Upon his arrival, Prabowo was greeted with a red carpet welcome by Charles Anderson, Deputy Lieutenant and representative of the British Royal Family.
“Welcome,” Charles said to Prabowo.
“Thank you,” replied Prabowo.
The weather in London was particularly cold, with temperatures reaching minus one degree Celsius. Prabowo was dressed warmly in a long black coat and a black peci.
He shook hands with members of the UK Royal delegation and representatives from the Indonesian Embassy in London who were present to welcome him.
Among those present were Indonesian Ambassador to the UK Desra Percaya, British Ambassador to Indonesia Jeremy CVO OBE, representatives from the Indonesian Embassy in London, Colonel Faishal Ridlwan, and Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives Budisatrio Djiwandono.
