Jakarta – Ujang Komarudin, a political analyst from Al Azhar University Indonesia, believes that the inauguration speech delivered by President Prabowo Subianto at the DPR/MPR Building in Jakarta on Sunday (October 20), showcased the firmness that the Indonesian public has been eagerly awaiting.
“Prabowo’s speech during his inauguration built optimism and confidence among the Indonesian people. What he conveyed clearly demonstrated the decisiveness that the public has been hoping for,” Ujang told reporters on Monday (October 21).
Regarding this sense of optimism, Ujang also views it as one of the key factors behind Prabowo’s victory in the 2024 Presidential Election. According to him, the public believes that Prabowo’s words will align with the implementation of the policies he has outlined.
“This means that the work programs and vision he has set forth will truly be executed in a pro-people manner, prioritizing the interests of the public,” Ujang explained.
“I am confident that what Prabowo delivered represents a commitment to the nation and the state,” he added.
With the enthusiasm shown by Prabowo on his inauguration day, Ujang expressed his belief that the people are convinced that the 8th President of Indonesia will accelerate development efforts over the next five years of his administration.
“The people are eagerly awaiting Prabowo’s efforts, and all of us, the Indonesian people, are highly optimistic. There is strong confidence in Prabowo’s ability to expedite the development of this republic,” Ujang said.
Moreover, Ujang believes that whatever a leader says is a reflection of their true character when in power. He pointed out that Prabowo’s firmness and authoritative demeanor have become a source of pride for the people.
“I firmly believe that what Prabowo delivered during his inauguration will go down as a part of Indonesia’s history,” Ujang asserted.
“President-elect Prabowo, now inaugurated, has displayed his true character—firm and dignified. This, of course, is a matter of pride for the Indonesian people,” he concluded. (RR)
