Jakarta – A vibrant atmosphere filled the Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2025 as Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited the exhibition area showcasing the country’s primary defense systems after officially opening the event at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (June 11).
The most striking scene was the overwhelming excitement from elementary school students attending the event. They lined up neatly along the boogie car route taken by the President, energetically chanting his name.
“Pak Prabowo! Pak Prabowo! Shake hands with us, sir!” they called out in unison, their voices bursting with enthusiasm.
As the boogie car moved slowly through the crowd, the moment became even more memorable. The students eagerly stretched out their hands, and Prabowo responded with a warm smile, reaching out to greet them.
“Is this even real? It feels like a dream!” exclaimed a wide-eyed student after shaking hands with the President.
After greeting the schoolchildren, Prabowo continued his tour, visiting various exhibition booths displaying cutting-edge defense technology from both domestic and international manufacturers. The forum featured a range of military innovations, including light and heavy weaponry, armored vehicles, fighter jets, warships, and other defense components.
As he prepared to leave the venue, Prabowo once again engaged with attendees, waving from atop a white Maung tactical vehicle—a locally produced creation by PT Pindad. The enthusiastic response from students and visitors made the event even more lively and energetic.
Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2025, themed “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace & Stability,” will run from June 11 to 14, 2025, bringing together 1,180 participants from 42 allied nations, including 659 foreign companies and 521 domestic manufacturers.
