Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has given direct instructions to the Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan), Prabowo Subianto, to collaborate with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding the operation of a field hospital in Gaza.
Prabowo stated this after meeting the President at the State Palace on Thursday (6/6/2024).
“I just met with the President and reported on several matters including the situation in Gaza, and the president was very supportive, instructing me that we are ready to send a hospital,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo mentioned that in addition to the hospital, the president also approved the sending of medical personnel to Gaza, who will collaborate with several partner countries.
“Especially the Middle Eastern countries that have also operated hospitals there, namely the United Arab Emirates (UAE). When I attend the summit in Jordan, I will try to go to UAE first to discuss this,” said Prabowo.
