Paris — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, departed from Paris, France, on Tuesday (July 15), wrapping up a multi-nation working visit that took him from Saudi Arabia and Brazil to Belgium and France.
Prabowo took off from Paris Orly Airport, where he was officially seen off by French Ambassador to Indonesia Fabien Penone, Indonesian Ambassador to France Muhammad Oemar, and Defense Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Paris, Air Commodore Anang Surdwiyono. A ceremonial honor guard from the French military was also present for the send-off.
Before his departure, President Prabowo spoke briefly to reporters about his bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron during a private dinner at the Élysée Palace, describing the exchange as highly productive.
“It was a dinner meeting, but we discussed many aspects of the Indonesia–France partnership. France has been a strong supporter of Indonesia, especially within Europe,” Prabowo told reporters at the airport.
During the dinner, the two leaders also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing Israel–Palestine conflict.
Both leaders reaffirmed their support for a peaceful and just resolution to the conflict, emphasizing the importance of the two-state solution as the most viable path to lasting peace.
“Yes, we discussed that. France supports the two-state solution,” Prabowo confirmed.
