Paris — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, attended a private dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday evening, 14 July 2025, at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
Upon arrival at the official residence of the French President, Prabowo stepped out of his state vehicle and walked along a line of honor guards standing in formation. At the end of the ceremonial welcome, Macron greeted him warmly, marking a moment of genuine friendship between the two heads of state.
The leaders shook hands and posed for photographs before proceeding into the palace’s grand dining hall.
The dinner followed the celebrations of France’s National Day, Bastille Day, in which President Prabowo participated as guest of honor during the military parade along the Champs-Élysées earlier in the day.
Inside the dining room, a cordial and intimate atmosphere prevailed. The two leaders used the occasion to engage in candid discussions, exchanging views on key strategic issues — both bilateral and global in scope.
