Rio de Janeiro — Following his participation in the 17th BRICS Summit at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has continued his official visit to Brazil by traveling to the capital city, Brasília, on Monday (July 7).
President Prabowo departed from Galeão Air Base in Rio de Janeiro at 1:50 p.m. local time aboard the presidential aircraft, accompanied by a limited delegation.
During the BRICS Summit, world leaders discussed a wide range of strategic global issues, including food security, health, climate change, and the Global South’s role in reforming international governance structures.
President Prabowo’s visit to Brasília is scheduled to take place over the next two days.
His itinerary includes a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in which both leaders are expected to discuss strengthening economic cooperation, boosting investment opportunities, and deepening relations between South America and Southeast Asia.
