Karawang — President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed the country’s commitment to peace amid global conflicts and uncertainty, emphasizing Indonesia’s consistent stance as a guardian of regional stability.
Speaking at the inauguration of an integrated electric vehicle battery ecosystem formed by a consortium of ANTAM, Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC), and Contemporary Brune Legion (CBL) in Karawang on Sunday (June 29), Prabowo said:
“In a world plagued by conflict, our region remains a zone of peace. And there can be no prosperity without peace,” he stressed.
Indonesia, he continued, will always prioritize cooperation and constructive engagement with other nations.
“Indonesia consistently chooses collaboration. We choose partnership. We choose the middle path,” he said.
Prabowo also invoked a guiding principle he holds in diplomacy and statecraft:
“A thousand friends are too few; one enemy is too many.”
The President used the occasion to call for greater speed and urgency in accelerating the country’s downstream industrial development, linking it directly to national prosperity.
“Once again, thank you. Our downstreaming agenda will continue, and we will accelerate this momentum. We must move fast—our people are demanding real, rapid progress,” he concluded.
