Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto personally greeted members of the Indonesian National Football Team as they arrived at his residence on Kertanegara 4, South Jakarta, on Friday (June 6). The gathering was a special invitation from the President following Indonesia’s victory over China in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium the night before (Thursday, June 5).
The players arrived in coordinated red uniforms. The first to enter was team captain Jay Idzes, followed by man of the match Ole Romeny, formidable goalkeeper Emil Audero Mulyadi, and defensive stalwart Rizky Ridho. Other players and team officials followed shortly after.
“Hello Jay! Hello, Romeny,” said Prabowo warmly, patting the goal scorer on the shoulder.
He shook hands with every player and team official without exception. Joy and pride were clearly visible on everyone’s faces.
“Some of you, please have a seat,” Prabowo said, inviting them to relax inside.
As a reminder, Indonesia defeated China 1–0 in the match the previous night. President Prabowo was present at the stadium from kickoff to the final whistle, giving his full support. At the end of the match, he stepped onto the pitch to personally congratulate and greet each player, taking group photos to commemorate the moment.
