Jakarta — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his deep appreciation and respect for oil and gas workers who have contributed to the development of two strategic energy projects—Forel and Terubuk—located in the South Natuna Sea Block B, Riau Islands, on Friday (May 16).
“You are heroes of our nation in the field of energy. You are uplifting our national capacity and upholding the dignity and honor of Indonesia. Thank you for your achievements and hard work,” President Prabowo said in his remarks delivered via video conference from the State Palace.
The President emphasized that the success of the Forel and Terubuk projects is a testament to Indonesia’s bright and hopeful energy future.
“This inauguration proves that we have a glorious future ahead. A bright future—precisely because of our abundant resources, and precisely because our future is full of promise,” he added.
Although the inauguration ceremony was held virtually, the presence of several high-ranking officials at the project site underscored the significance of this milestone. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, attended the event on location.
President Prabowo also extended his gratitude and prayers to the workers who operate under challenging conditions.
“Once again, thank you for your dedication, thank you for your sacrifices. May God Almighty, Allah SWT, always protect those of you working in remote, difficult areas, far out at sea. May you stay strong and uplifted,” the President concluded.
