Prabowo Urges Australia to Expand Investment in MSMEs and Agriculture

Jakarta — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has called on Australia to expand its investment in Indonesia’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and agriculture sector, highlighting the areas as key pillars of inclusive economic development.

The proposal was made during a bilateral meeting between President Prabowo and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (May 15).

“We will work together to improve the welfare of our farmers and MSME actors. We’re also committed to ensuring Indonesian products meet international standards. In this regard, we invite Australia to deepen its cooperation with us—especially in agriculture,” Prabowo stated.
