Bogor — Loud cheers echoed through the courtyard of SDN Cimahpar 5 in Bogor, West Java, on Friday (May 2), as the school transformed into a sea of joy to celebrate National Education Day 2025 with none other than the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in attendance.
A convoy of Maung vehicles carrying the President slowly approached the school gates around 2:00 PM local time. From afar, rows of children stood excitedly along the roadside, waving enthusiastically while dressed in traditional attire and holding handmade signs that read, “Welcome President Prabowo.”
“Pak Prabowo! Pak Prabowo!” they shouted gleefully, some even jumping in delight as the President emerged from the vehicle’s sunroof, returning their greetings with a warm smile and wave.
President Prabowo wore his signature safari outfit, a familiar symbol of his leadership style.
But the President’s visit wasn’t just ceremonial—he officially launched one of his flagship initiatives: the Accelerated High-Impact Results Program (PHTC), designed to rapidly and equitably improve the quality of education across Indonesia.
His presence left a lasting impression on the students. Rama and Arsyad Febriansyah, two pupils at SDN Cimahpar 5, could hardly contain their pride and excitement.
“We’re so happy! It’s amazing to meet the President at our own school,” they said with bright eyes. “Thank you, President Prabowo, for coming to visit us!”
