Jakarta — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, welcomed First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (April 15). The meeting marked Prabowo’s first official agenda upon returning from his working visit to several countries in the Middle East.
Denis Manturov arrived at the palace at 2:00 PM local time and was greeted directly by President Prabowo, along with several members of the Red and White Cabinet, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Tedy Indra Wijaya.
A ceremonial honor guard from the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) also welcomed Manturov and escorted him from his vehicle to the meeting venue. Before engaging in bilateral talks, President Prabowo and Deputy PM Manturov posed for a photo together.
During the meeting, President Prabowo expressed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Russia. Both sides hoped to expand collaboration, particularly in the areas of economy, industry, trade, energy, agriculture, and investment.
Earlier that morning, at 7:35 AM, President Prabowo landed back in Indonesia after completing a multi-country working tour of the Middle East. The trip included visits to the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Türkiye, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Qatar, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
