Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the increased cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam after a bilateral meeting with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (PKV) To Lam at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday (10/3).
Prabowo said that Indonesia and Vietnam have agreed to increase their comprehensive co-operation in almost all sectors.
‘We want to improve our comprehensive relationship and we really want to strengthen and cooperate in almost all fields,’ Prabowo said.
Indonesia welcomes the increased cooperation, including in the economic, political, defence, security, education, automotive, technology and green economy sectors.
‘We also welcome Vietnam’s investment in Indonesia in the automotive sector as well as in agriculture and in various other fields, this will help both countries with food security and we can become a contributor to world food,’ Prabowo said.
‘We also agree to cooperate in fisheries, digital economy, green economy, and in the upcoming high-tech industry,’ he continued. (RR)
