Jakarta – The majority of the public, or 79.3%, are satisfied with President Prabowo Subianto’s performance. This is contained in the latest survey released by the Indonesian Political Indicator entitled ‘Public Evaluation of the 100-Day Performance of President Prabowo and the Red and White Cabinet’.

Executive Director of Indikator Politik Indonesia, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, detailed that the survey conducted on 16-21 January was an accumulation of satisfied and moderately satisfied categories for Prabowo’s performance since he was inaugurated on 20 October 2024.

“Aprroval of President Prabowo Subianto who said he was satisfied was around 13.5%, who said he was quite satisfied was 65.8%. So in total there are 79.3%,” said Mr Burhanuddin, as quoted from the Indonesian Political Indicator YouTube channel, Monday (27/1).

Burhanuddin explained that there were more than 20 reasons for the satisfaction of 1,220 respondents from all provinces in the country with Prabowo’s performance. Some of them are 18.9% of people think that the president is a firm, authoritative, brave and wise figure.

Another 17.4 per cent of people considered the fight against corruption to have gone well under Prabowo’s leadership. “The performance of legal institutions, especially those related to corruption eradication, also contributes to satisfaction with President Prabowo’s performance,” Burhanuddin explained.

Furthermore, 12.8% of citizens see Prabowo as having good and proven performance. Then, as many as 9.2% of the public liked Prabowo because many of the work programmes launched began to be realised.

“Some say that they often provide assistance (5.9%), free nutritious food programmes (5.7%) bring change (3.5%), these are various reasons,” said Burhanuddin. (RR)
