Jakarta – The Litbang Kompas survey revealed that the level of public satisfaction with the performance of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming administration in the field of politics and security has increased to 85.8% this January.

The results of a public opinion survey of 1,000 respondents in 38 provinces noted that the level of satisfaction per indicator in the political and security sector, around 83.7% of the public felt guaranteed in freedom of speech.

‘The assessment of the political and security sector is the highest compared to the other three sectors, namely welfare, social, economic, and legal,’ said Litbang Kompas Researcher Andreas Yoga Prasetyo, quoted in a publication related to the survey from Kompas Daily, Tuesday (21/1).

This time, he continued, the government’s efforts to build respect for differences, guarantee freedom of speech, and open opportunities for people to control the government were the biggest contributors in the field of politics and security.

In addition to freedom of speech, the survey shows that around 88.6% of people appreciate the government’s efforts to build awareness to respect differences. This was followed by 83.4% satisfaction with efforts to open up opportunities to control the government.

Andreas said the government’s performance in ensuring security also received a positive response of 77.0% from the public, such as ensuring a sense of security from threats, pressure, and crime at home or abroad.

‘The degree of satisfaction with the government in handling inter-group conflicts and separatist movements also reached 72.5%,’ he explained. (RR)
