Boyolali – Parents of students at SDN 1 Donohudan in Boyolali admitted that they felt the positive impact of the Free Nutritious Meal programme that started today, Monday (6/1).
In addition to saving money, they admitted that they are happy with the Free Nutritious Meal Programme initiated by President Prabowo because their children can eat more together at school.
‘With this Free Nutritious Meal Programme, my children, Alhamdulillah, may Insha Allah be fulfilled nutritionally. Usually, children who don’t like to eat at home don’t really like it, Insha Allah, hopefully they will be more happy to eat at school together,’ said Ria Anita.
The same thing was also expressed by a parent guardian of a 4th grade student at SDN 1 Donohudan who admitted that her child had difficulty eating at home, while when the Free Nutritious Meal Programme was implemented, her child was actually eager to eat his food.
‘At home sometimes it’s difficult, there are no friends. It’s very economical, because we can also provide the best nutrition and reduce nutritional gaps from the community for children in receiving to study at school,’ said Dwi Lestari.
In addition, parents admit that they can also save on the provision of pocket money to their children because hygienic and nutritious food is now available for children.
‘With this free nutritious meal, we can save money. My message to Mr Prabowo is that I hope the Free Nutritious Meal Programme can run smoothly and benefit the children,’ said Dewi Rianti, a fifth-grade student at SDN 1 Donohudan.
As is known, the Free Nutritious Meal programme has started running in 26 provinces, including Aceh; Riau Islands; all provinces in Java; West Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, North Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, to West Papua, and South Papua.
The Free Nutritious Meal Kitchen is managed by the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG), which is directly appointed by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). SPPG is the implementing unit of the Free Nutritious Meal programme that is tasked with supplying food for programme beneficiaries.
The SPPG works closely with a nutritionist and an accountant to ensure strict monitoring of the nutritional quality and smooth distribution of the food. In addition, SPPG is also tasked with overseeing hygiene standards, nutrition management, and waste management in each MBG kitchen.
To support sustainability, serving trays are designed using hygienic and reusable stainless steel. (RR)
