Kupang — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, landed at El Tari Airport in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at 7:04 PM WITA on Tuesday (3/12), warmly welcomed by local residents who had gathered to greet him.
Upon arrival, Prabowo was received by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces Agus Subiyanto, Acting Governor of NTT Andriko Noto Susanto, Commander of Kodam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Muhammad Zamroni, NTT Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang, and Deputy Head of the Hajj Organizing Agency Dahnil Azar Simanjuntak.
Prabowo quickly boarded his official vehicle and headed to the hotel where he would be staying.
At the hotel lobby, Prabowo was greeted by dozens of Kupang residents, including mothers with children. One woman, holding her 3-month-old baby, caught Prabowo’s attention as he warmly interacted with her family.
“Mr. President, hello!” the residents called out.
Noticing the mother and her three children, Prabowo approached them and engaged in a friendly conversation.
“How old are you?” Prabowo asked one of the children.
“Five,” answered a young boy, showing his fingers.
“And you, four?” Prabowo asked the young girl next to him.
He then posed for a photo with the family and other residents, creating a heartwarming moment for everyone present.
“Thank you, thank you,” Prabowo said with a smile.
Prabowo’s visit to Kupang is part of his agenda to attend the Opening of the Sidang Tanwir and the 112th Anniversary Celebration of Muhammadiyah, scheduled for Wednesday, December 4, 2024. (RR)
