Abu Dhabi — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) on Saturday (23/11) local time. During their warm meeting, MBZ expressed his pride in the long-standing relationship he shares with Prabowo.

“Our relationship did not start today. We have known each other for years, and I am proud of this bond. God willing, this relationship will continue to improve and grow for the benefit of both our nations in the years to come,” said MBZ.

Prabowo’s arrival was celebrated with grandeur, marked by a 21-gun salute and horse and camel cavalries lining the route to Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, where the two leaders met.

At the entrance to Qasr Al Watan, MBZ personally greeted Prabowo. During the welcoming ceremony, MBZ presented a guard of honor from the UAE’s armed forces, representing all three branches of the military.

In their bilateral discussions, Prabowo and MBZ agreed to strengthen economic ties and strategic cooperation between Indonesia and the UAE. Prabowo outlined his administration’s priorities, emphasizing the importance of food security, energy security, and value-added processing of raw materials in Indonesia.

“We aim to collaborate in several sectors, and we invite the UAE to actively participate in our economy,” Prabowo added.
