Abu Dhabi — President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, received a grand welcome from the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ), featuring cannon salutes, horse cavalries, and camels lining the route to the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace on Saturday (23/11) local time.
An elegant convoy of white presidential vehicles was arranged for Prabowo’s journey to the palace. Along the route, horse and camel cavalries adorned both sides of the road, adding to the celebratory atmosphere for Prabowo’s arrival in the UAE.
Upon the convoy’s arrival at the palace forecourt, cannon salutes were fired, signaling Prabowo’s and his entourage’s presence, amplifying the ceremonial grandeur.
MBZ personally awaited Prabowo’s arrival at the palace entrance. As Prabowo stepped out of his vehicle, he was warmly greeted by MBZ with a firm handshake and friendly exchange.
Inside the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace, Prabowo continued to receive a heartfelt welcome. Schoolchildren waved the Indonesian and UAE flags enthusiastically in honor of his visit.
A ceremonial honor guard accompanied by a marching band was also present, standing in formation to welcome Prabowo. He acknowledged their salute before proceeding further into the palace.
Prabowo was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Deputy Minister of Housing and Settlements Fahri Hamzah, Director General for Asia-Pacific and Africa Affairs Abdul Kadir Jaelani, Pertamina CEO Simon Aloysius Mantiri, and Indonesia’s Ambassador to the UAE Husin Bagis.
