Brazil — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended the G20 Leaders’ Meeting at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Monday (11/18).
Prabowo arrived at 9:45 a.m. local time in a white state car. He wore a white shirt paired with a black suit and a black peci.
Upon his arrival at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), he was greeted with a red carpet and an honor guard.
Prabowo took a moment to salute as he was welcomed by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The two exchanged handshakes and warm smiles.
Prabowo, along with other world leaders in attendance, then entered the venue to listen to the opening remarks of the G20 Brazil 2024 Summit delivered by President Lula.
“May this summit be marked by the courage to act. That is why I want to officially declare the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty. Thank you very much,” said Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as he officially opened the event.
The G20 Brazil 2024 Summit carries the theme “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet” and prioritizes a number of key points including Fighting Inequality, Promoting Social Inclusion, and Fighting Hunger, Combating Climate Change, Promoting Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, and Reforming Global Governance Institutions.
