Magelang — Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Heads of Agencies, Special Envoys, and Presidential Advisors underwent marching drills at the Pancasila Field of the Military Academy in Magelang on Friday morning (Oct. 25).
The aides to President Prabowo Subianto were awakened at 4:00 AM in their respective tents. By 5:15 AM, they had assembled at the Sapta Marga Field, ready for the day’s activities.
To their surprise, when the cabinet members arrived at the field, President Prabowo was already there, being the first to arrive. His presence set an example of discipline as a leader.
The day began with a group exercise session led by trainers from the Military Academy. After about 30 minutes of exercise, the session continued with marching drills.
Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Heads of Agencies, and Presidential Advisors were divided into five groups, with each group assigned three marching instructors. President Prabowo, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as well as the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Chief of Police, also participated in the training. Retired General Wiranto joined the drills alongside the cabinet members.
After the drills, President Prabowo emphasized that the training was not a military exercise but rather a means to align the government’s teamwork and coordination. “We must move in unison with the same goals. The government doesn’t work individually, but as a team,” the President stated.
President Prabowo added that the best example of teamwork can be seen in soccer, where all players must share the same belief and objectives. The Merah Putih Cabinet team must also realize they are competing with other nations.
The President, Vice President, and cabinet members conducted the training in the Komcad (Reserve Component) field uniforms. President Prabowo underscored that the best defense system is the Sistem Pertahanan Rakyat Semesta (Total People’s Defense System), where every citizen must be ready to defend the nation. (RR)
