80th Independence Day Logo: President Prabowo Declares It a Symbol of Eternal Unity for a Progressive Indonesia

Jakarta — President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, officially launched the theme and logo for the 80th anniversary of Indonesian independence at a ceremony held at the State Palace on Wednesday (July 23). In his address, President Prabowo underscored that the theme and logo are not mere slogans, but must serve as guiding principles for national life.

“This theme must serve as a benchmark—not just a slogan or mantra,” President Prabowo declared.

During the event, he unveiled the official logo for Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day, a design created by young Indonesian talent, rich with philosophical meaning. The President explained that the logo features an interconnected eight and zero forming an infinity symbol, representing an unending spirit of unity.

“The 80th Independence Day logo is the work of our nation’s youth, created as a unifying symbol. Philosophically, the design features the numbers eight and zero connected in a continuous, unbroken form—an infinity,” he explained.

According to Prabowo, the unbroken shape reflects unity as the foundation of sovereignty, which in turn manifests as the people’s welfare and an unceasing struggle to realize the nation’s vision of progress.

“This form symbolizes unity as the root of sovereignty, a manifestation of the people’s well-being, and a tireless pursuit of our national aspirations toward a progressive Indonesia,” he emphasized.

The President also reminded the audience that Indonesia’s independence was won through a long and arduous struggle, marked by sacrifice and perseverance—not something granted freely.

“Our independence is the legacy earned through the blood, sweat, and tears of our founders, our freedom fighters. The people of Indonesia have toiled without rest to bring our dreams of independence to life,” he said.

“I call on all Indonesian people to welcome and enliven the 80th Independence Day with energy, with joy, and with a sense of togetherness. We may differ, we may compete—but we are brothers and sisters, we are children of the Indonesian nation,” Prabowo concluded.
