80% Damaged, Bekasi’s SDN Padurenan Receives Revitalization Program from President Prabowo

Bekasi, May 2, 2025 – The government has officially launched the School Revitalization and Digital Learning Program as part of President Prabowo Subianto’s Accelerated High-Impact Results Program (PHTC). One of the schools directly benefiting from the program is SDN Padurenan IV in Bekasi.

On Friday, May 2, 2025, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to mark the beginning of infrastructure improvements at the school. Adita Irawati, Senior Expert at the Presidential Communication Office, explained that the School Revitalization and Digital Learning Program is the fourth PHTC initiative under President Prabowo.

“Alhamdulillah, today we are launching the school revitalization program. This is a concrete step showing the government’s strong commitment to improving the quality of education, so Indonesia can progress and achieve its Golden Indonesia vision. Education plays a critical role in building a better Indonesia,” said Adita.

She added that the program also aims to equalize access to quality education across the country.

“Through digitalization, our fellow citizens who have long lacked adequate learning resources can now be supported. Schools will receive interactive whiteboards, laptops, internet access, and digital learning content stored on hard drives,” she said.

President Prabowo has launched the School Revitalization Program simultaneously across the nation. In 2025, a total of 10,440 schools are scheduled for revitalization.

Faisal Syahrul, Inspector General at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, stated that the program targets schools with moderate to severe structural damage, backed by a total budget of IDR 17.1 trillion.

“We aim to ensure equal standards in education services, from Papua to major urban areas like Bekasi. With this revitalization, students can learn in comfort, without worrying about the safety of their school buildings,” said Faisal.

Sri Sulastri, Principal of SDN Padurenan IV, expressed how urgently her school needed support.
“Our school has suffered 80% damage, with three classrooms in severely dilapidated condition. We are deeply grateful that SDN Padurenan IV has been prioritized in this program,” she said.

Through the implementation of this revitalization program, the government hopes that children across Indonesia can study in environments that are safe, proper, and supportive of their growth and full potential.
